How Much Does a Magician Cost?

The honest answer is: it depends.

Every event is different, and the investment is based on factors such as the date, location, duration, audience size, and the type of experience you're looking to create.

Most events fall into one of two categories:

Private Shows

Perfect for adult birthdays, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, and house parties.

These interactive performances typically range from $500–$1,000, depending on the length of the show and event details.

Strolling Magic

My most popular service for weddings, cocktail hours, corporate events, networking receptions, country clubs, and private parties.

Guests experience astonishing close-up magic while mingling, creating unforgettable moments and conversations throughout the event.

Most strolling magic engagements range from $500–$2,000, depending on the date, location, and performance duration.

One Show, Two Shows, or Both?

I offer two primary performance styles:

Close-Up / Strolling Magic
Interactive magic performed for small groups at a time as I move throughout the event.

Stand-Up / Feature Show
A larger performance where everyone gathers together for a shared magical experience.

Many clients choose one or the other. Others combine both for maximum impact—strolling magic during cocktails followed by a feature show for the entire group.

What Affects Price?

Several factors determine the final investment:

  • Event date and day of the week

  • Location and travel requirements

  • Performance duration

  • Number of guests

  • Level of production required

  • Sound system requirements

  • Larger illusions and specialty effects

  • Additional performers or assistants

In general, the more customized and theatrical the experience, the greater the production value—and the greater the investment.

The best way to get accurate pricing is to tell me a little about your event. I'll recommend the best option.

Strolling / Roving Magic

Your guests experience amazing magic up close in small groups, creating conversation, energy, laughter, and memorable moments throughout the event. Instead of everyone watching from their seats, the magic happens right in their hands and right in front of their eyes. It’s interactive, and perfect for keeping the energy alive during weddings, cocktail hours, receptions, networking events, and social gatherings.

  • Group of people enjoying a card game at a red table during a formal event or conference in a banquet hall.
  • A bride and groom sitting together, looking surprised and happy, while a man hands them an envelope; a woman in a blue dress and another woman in a dark top sit behind them, reacting with surprised expressions.
  • Four women sitting on a beige couch, smiling and laughing at a social gathering, with drinks and snacks on the table in front of them.
  • A bride in a white wedding dress is sitting on a couch, clapping and smiling, while a groom in a suit sits beside her, also smiling. They are surrounded by four people, two women and two men, all clapping and smiling at the couple. The setting appears to be an indoor reception or celebration space.
  • Two men in suits talking and laughing at a social event, with drinks on the table and string lights overhead.
  • People enjoying a lively conversation at a social event or party, with drinks and snacks on a table.
  • Two women smiling and sitting at a banquet table during a celebration, one holding up a playing card to her forehead.
  • A man in a white shirt and patterned tie is laughing while seated at a table during a social event.
